Quotes

-A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both!
-The colossal misunderstanding of our time is the assumption that insight will work with people who are unmotivated to change. Communication does not depend on syntax, eloquence, or rhetoric, or articulation but on the emotional context in which the message is heard. People can only hear you when they are moving toward you, and they are not likely to when your words are pursuing them. Even the choices of words lose their power when they are used to overpower. Attitudes are the real figures of speech.
-Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly; devils fall because of their gravity.

Dream

Last night I dreamed of my SSEAYP friends, especially my SG-B mates. I saw many of you. I had been dreaming of you guys a few times lately. I guess it is because it is September. Miss you guys.

I remember in my dream I was feeling proud of how many true friends I have all over this world, from Thailand to Indonesia, from Japan to Jamaica, from Afghanistan to Romania, from Argentina to Singapore.

SUMO questions

"Where do life's opportunities lie? Inside or outside of your comfort zone?"
Is there an area of your life where you're always the spectator and never the player?
If there was something where you felt it's time to be a player and not a spectator, at work or in your personal life, what would it be?

--- I had chosen to be a spectator in almost everything. It made me miss alot of things and wasn't good at handling things, relationships with others, etc. I'd rather sit and watch people be content and happy and would give up what's in my hands because I didn't know how to keep them while I am more comfortable seeing others have them and be happy. It was only again and again that I lost or gave up what's important, what I really like/need/want, that I realize I should start thinking about myself and be a player in my own life at times and try to protect and keep what I should.
