Siahoukville Trip, May26-27

SI Cambodia conducted a small Thank You trip for the 19th SIGA Organizing Committee to Sihanoukville, where we also implemented our small Beach Clean Up Project, to encourage people to put their trash into bags or bins and not scatter them everywhere on the beautiful beach/sand. Let's work together!

IFL Culture Day and New Year Celebration, April 7

This year's Culture Day and New Year Celebration at IFL was no different from other years, starting early in the morning and ending late in the evening. Students cultural awareness subconsciously gained from each year's event is enormous, I must say. Our students have been the most active and outstanding when it comes to involvement in int'l exchanges and interactions with the int'l community. It also brings about talents that we might not expect!! From dancing, to playing flutes and keyboards, to singing, to composing skits and performing them, and even to organizing the event, the skills are instilled, triggered, and encouraged from year to year.

Student performance of "Robam Tong Cheat" (National Flag Dance)

Student performance of "Robam Ploy"
A paid comedy by the "celebrity" Chap Chien...
A short skit, written, composed, directed, and performed by the students themselves...
Boxkator martial arts (one of and the strongest ancient Khmer martial arts, dating over 2,000 years old, consisting of fighting techniques using any/every part of the body, long sticks and dual sticks, swords, and Khmer traditional scarf "kroma" as weapons)

Vimealea's childhood

Sonina and I rollerblading in our D.C residence backyard. D.C wasn't as fun as NYC. The schooling was also worse.

Little Sonina (now very big and tall) and I in Canada when we visited grandma, aunties and cousins with Mum and Dad...

New York's P.S 139 Queen elementary school field trip. It was the first best place I have ever been to... although I cried when I was forced to go horseback riding and managed to be on the horseback for just 2 minutes...
In my Moscow clothes :D

My younger cousin Sonita and I

My elder cousin Sotheary and I in front of our former house in P.P. (I'm the one standing)
